Though WING-YIN decides to lend money to YIU-KUEN, she frankly admits that she has used up all her savings. KIU-PAK and SIU-TING follow the directions given by their informant to the location, where they wait for BIG HEAD B to come out. Two Southeastern Asians uncover the hand guns and they plan to sell them. When CHEUNG HAK works for a convenience store, he spots the two and immediately calls the police after recognizing that they are the burglars. Unexpectedly, after he returns to the convenience store, he is fired by the store manager without just cause. WING-YIN receives a phone call from KA-WING, who informs her that another newspaper published her story and suspects that WING-SING sold the interview to that newspaper. At that moment, WING-SING shows LOK-YEE’s sexy photos to WING-YIN and threatens her……

Two years later, WING-YIN and LOK-YEE get along better. WING-YIN decides to let LOK-YEE study abroad, which instead makes YIU-KUEN very unhappy. WING-YIN is not happy after learning that she only received a 2% salary increase; whereas KA-WING reveals that he received a newspaper award. While feeling very happy for him, WING-YIN asks how much was his pay raised. With the newspaper company recruiting MA-LI to be in charge of the online media, they allocate all the company resources to her team, which greatly limits the resources that WING-YIN’s team is going to get. CHEUNG HAK gets a job offer to be a gardener, but he makes a mistake, ending up being fired again. KIU-PAK goes to a firing range to practise and runs into SIU-TING again, and he finds out that SIU-TING has a very good aim……

Having caught the criminals in one sweep, the police hold a press conference, ahead of which WONG SIR out of the blue gives KIU-PAK an earful. KIU-PAK brings along his personal belongings and leaves the Crime Squad, during which he runs into SIU-TING, who turns out to be recruited by WONG SIR. KIU-PAK reveals his intention of leaving the police force, so TSZ-YUE asks him for the reason. YIU-KUEN drives WING-YIN and LOK-YEE to participate in school activities. He spots a high-ranking government official named CHING-SUM while parking the car. As soon as he learns that CHING-SUM’s daughter is LOK-YEE’s classmate, he immediately goes forward to give him a business card. At work, WING-YIN overhears that CHI-WAH and WING-SING are talking about the company’s financial problem. WING-SING urges CHI-WAH to reduce unnecessary manpower and resources. CHEUNG HAK hits someone while driving the car……

TSZ-YUE reports for duty at the newspaper company, and she appears to be very excited because she is going to meet her idol WING-YIN. As soon as she sees WING-YIN, she tells her that she likes her column very much. However, she is later transferred by CHI-WAH to work with MA-LI’s team. TAI-HING is drinking and having fun at a bar with his men, during which he even distributes money to them, including KIU-PAK. On the street, KIU-PAK runs into SO MAN, who was just dumped by a guy. When some other guys go to make a pass at her, KIU-PAK leaps forward to help her out of trouble. Early in the morning, TSZ-YUE sees SO MAN at home, so she cannot help feeling very shocked. KA-WING tells WING-YIN that TSZ-YUE’s homework was published in another newspaper. CHEUNG HAK, LAU TSAU and KWAN KAI take up building maintenance jobs, without knowing that it’s a trap. On top of that, they are beaten up and injured by some gangsters……

While leaving the hospital, CHEUNG HAK and CHEUNG FEI run into the building security guard, and the security guard then wants to sue CHEUNG HAK. CHEUNG FEI is dismissed and she cannot get her last pay check. Boiling with anger, she buys lots of food to sit at the sea shore, eating and crying. TSZ-YUE happens to have lunch with KA-WING there. Seeing CHEUNG FEI crying, TSZ-YUE is afraid that she is going to commit suicide. However, before they get there, CHEUNG FEI has already passed out. KIU-PAK pretends to look for a part-time job; whereas in fact, he is probing into the matter about an estate being occupied by a gang, but to no avail. TSZ-YUE hands her report about CHEUNG HAK to MA-LI, but MA-LI refuses to publish her article, claiming that it is not interesting enough to attract readers. As usual, TAI-HING goes to a bar to meet MIMI, who instead gives him the cold shoulder. On top of that, there is a diamond ring on her finger……

Being mocked, TAI-HING cannot help firing a warning shot. Having heard this, MA-LI immediately tells the reporters to follow up, but she refuses to let TSZ-YUE join them. TSZ-YUE remembers that WING-YIN is also at the crime scene, so she immediately informs her…… After the whole thing is over, TAK-KWONG goes to meet KIU-PAK and wants to know what TAI-HING told him. To protect himself, KIU-PAK does not tell TAK-KWONG that he knows about his infidelity with someone’s wife, instead, KIU-PAK hands him the financial record that was saved in TAI-HING’s USB drive. With THINNER patting down KIU-PAK, TAK-KWONG notices that KIU-PAK often calls the same number, so he wants to hear his explanation. CHI-WAH feels very disappointed after viewing WING-YIN’s video, above which he even lets MA-LI handle the front-page story about the shooting saga. Instantly, WING-YIN flies into a rage……

KIU-PAK has to bite the bullet and walk into the fish ball eatery with a chopping knife, pretending to aim at the owner…… Upon his return to the office, KIU-PAK immediately hands the money he got from the fish ball guy to TAK-KWONG, who is very appreciative of this. In order to probe into the matter about the alleged toxic paint, KA-WING out of the blue is taken into custody by the police. When WING-YIN goes to a backstreet alley to look for the toxic paint hidden by KA-WING earlier, she finds out that she was followed. KIU-PAK follows TAK-KWONG and the others to a paintball field to try out a batch of air guns, which turn out to be very powerful. Later, KIU-PAK sees LO SIR bring along SO MAN and other police officers to the paintball field, above which he even notices that SO MAN appears to be very close to LO SIR. YIU-KUEN once again wants to borrow $400,000 from WING-YIN, who refuses……

Just as WING-YIN is worried about how to pay LOK-YEE’s school fee, she out of the blue receives a phone call from CHI-BUN. CHI-BUN sends her a fruit basket and drops a hint that this is no ordinary fruit basket, hoping that WING-YIN will not publish her report, to which WING-YIN agrees. The fish ball guy hopes that KIU-PAK can reduce the renovation cost. After KIU-PAK tells TAK-KWONG about this, TAK-KWONG decides to set a fire on the eatery. KIU-PAK records the whole conversation and informs CHI-SING. Though CHI-SING thinks that KIU-PAK should not act on his own, SIU-TING offers to help KIU-PAK. KIU-PAK leads TAK-KWONG and the others to a bar, without knowing that LO SIR suddenly shows up and claims to be KIU-PAK’s former supervisor, which instantly exposes his identity. KIU-PAK returns to the police station and receives an earful from CHI-SING, who tells him that they probably won’t be able to charge TAK-KWONG with anything……

To celebrate going back to work, KIU-PAK specifically wears a new suit to report for duty, and his co-workers think he is going to be promoted after seeing him. CHI-SING tells KIU-PAK to investigate a drug case. KIU-PAK asks him about the promotion, without knowing that CHI-SING instantly flies into a rage. In order to get promoted, KIU-PAK knows very well that he has to convince THINNER to become a prosecution witness. With CHEUNG HAK and CHEUNG FEI’s quality of life continuing to deteriorate, their mother SHUK-HA comes to Hong Kong to visit them. CHEUNG FEI learns that SIU-HUNG will also come. However, as soon as CHEUNG HAK hears the name, he appears to be very frightened. Upon their arrival, SHUK-HA starts picking on them, especially about the place they live. CHEUNG HAK asks SIU-HUNG to leave, but SIU-HUNG insists on staying. On top of that, SHUK-HA even receives the rent from SIU-HUNG……

While WING-YIN is having lunch with LOK-YEE, LOK-YEE complains that YIU-KUEN keeps harassing her, so WING-YIN suggests that they should emigrate abroad. WING-YIN comes to see TAK-KWONG and reveals that she is a reporter, threatening him to give her $4 million. KA-WING sends his fellow student to interview CHI-BUN, in hopes of filming the mastermind behind the toxic paint in secret. WING-YIN appears to be very nervous, above which she even tells KA-WING to hand over all the information. On the other hand, WING-YIN becomes scared after learning that TAK-KWONG is a gang leader. KWAN KAI is on his way to an abandoned school, during which he sees some police officers question some Southeastern Asians. Worrying that they will uncover their crime, KWAI KAI wants to run away, back to his hometown. But, LAU TSAU does not want to leave because he is aiming at an even bigger target……

Upon her return, WING-YIN notices YIU-KUEN is holding her money, so she asks him where he got it. WING-YIN wants to take back the money, but YIU-KUEN claims that LOK-YEE falsely accuses him of sexually harassing her. He is not going to return the money unless LOK-YEE withdraws the accusation. When KIU-PAK and the other police officers are investigating a head-bashing robbery case, they notice a man who looks very suspicious. CHEUNG HAK and CHEUNG FEI come up with an idea, seeking to drive SIU-HUNG away. CHI-WAH asks WING-YIN when she is going to finish the news report on the toxic paint. WING-YIN replies that the article will be finished and published in a month. It turns out that WING-YIN is busy applying to emigrate abroad. WING-YIN learns from LOK-YEE that CHING-SUM is very rich, so she cannot help getting suspicious, wondering where he got the money……

After YIU-KUEN sees LOK-YEE, he tells her that he is going to emigrate abroad as well and he does not have to repay the debt of $400,000. LOK-YEE calls WING-YIN to ask her about it. MEI-KEI notices that LOK-YEE appears to be very unhappy, so she invites a couple of friends and go together to CHING-SUM’s villa to have fun. MEI-KEI’s friends even entice LOK-YEE to smoke pot. Upon their arrival, CHEUNG HAK and the other two confirm the target and attempt to break in. Just as the three attempt to steal the safe, they out of the blue run into LOK-YEE, which catches them off guard. They have no idea what to do, so they decide to kidnap LOK-YEE. LAU TSAU mistakes LOK-YEE for CHING-SUM’s daughter, blackmailing him for $6 million ransom. Meanwhile, CHEUNG HAK lies to SIU-HUNG and CHEUNG FEI that he picked up some money on the street, above which he even hands CHEUNG FEI the money and lets her undergo the surgery.

CHING-SUM calls WING-YIN to tell her that LOK-YEE was mistakenly kidnapped, which greatly startles WING-YIN and she wants to call the police. However, CHING-SUM is of the opinion that she should pay the ransom. Early in the morning, LAU TSAU and KWAN KAI claim that they are going away for a while, so they pass LOK-YEE to CHEUNG HAK. Seeing that CHEUNG HAK seems to be very kind, LOK-YEE slowly lets her guard down. Later, she tells him that they kidnapped the wrong person. Despite this, she agrees to continue to cooperate with him. WING-YIN returns home and sees YIU-KUEN. Right away, she blames him for telling LOK-YEE the fact he does not have to repay the debt. Just as she is wondering how come YIU-KUEN knew LOK-YEE’s whereabouts, she uncovers a secret from YIU-KUEN’s mobile phone. KWAN KAI is planning their next step after they receive the ransom money……

Suddenly, KIU-PAK knocks on WING-YIN’s door, informing her of the bad news…… CHING-SUM reveals the whole thing to the police, adding that the kidnappers sounded like from Mainland China. According to him, they initially requested $6 million, yet later increased it to $10 million. Having learned about LOK-YEE’s death, CHEUNG HAK thinks it’s LAU TSAU who did this. Not wanting to be implicated, he decides to abscond and wants to take back $150,000 that he gave CHEUNG FEI earlier. It turns out that CHEUNG FEI has already handed the money over to the police. MA-LI sees KA-WING and the others are clearing up WING-YIN’s office, thinking WING-YIN is going to resign. Due to WING-YIN’s case, KIU-PAK recalls the past when he just lost his brother. Meanwhile, CHEUNG HAK appears to be very careful each time he walks on the street because he is afraid of being followed and found by LAU TSAU……

WING-YIN returns to the newspaper company, only to find out that there is nothing in her office. On the other hand, MA-LI intends to open WING-YIN’s cabinet to take away the toxic paint documents but is stopped by KA-WING. WING-YIN is drinking alone at a bar. Upon her departure, she is followed by YIU-KUEN, who even attempts to rape her. Fortunately, KIU-PAK appears in the nick of time. WING-YIN frankly admits that she does not want to go back home, so she goes to KIU-PAK’s home to have some rest. With CHI-WAH enquiring whether they can publish the news report about the toxic paint, WING-YIN opens the computer documents, only to find out that the file is infected by a computer virus. After CHEUNG FEI is discharged from the hospital, CHEUNG HAK tells her that he has become a martial arts stuntman by chance. KA-WING and the others are troubled by the fact that they need to pitch a new topic……

After her resignation, WING-YIN hopes to find an investor to help her found a new magazine. When she arrives at her friend’s company, she runs into her neighbor MRS. TANG. Suddenly, she remembers that MRS. TANG can be her witness to prove that she didn’t forge the signature on the insurance document, so she asks her to testify in court, but MRS. TANG refuses. As soon as TSZ-YUE and KA-WING learn that they can continue to work with WING-YIN, they immediately resign from the newspaper company. KIU-PAK is informed by TSUI SIR that YIU-KUEN filed a complaint against him; whereas WING-YIN goes to meet up with YIU-KUEN, who frankly tells her that he is willing to divorce her and withdraw his complaint, but on one condition that WING-YIN needs to pay him $3 million. The police go to have a word with the owner of a construction company, and the owner instantly recognizes KWAN KAI as soon as they give him the photo……

With the establishment of WING-YIN’s new magazine, all her former co-workers come to help her, during which WING-YIN announces that KA-WING is the person in charge. The police enlarge the photo of the kidnapping suspects and discover that one of them wears a very expensive gold watch. SIU-HUNG is sexually harassed on the street, and CHEUNG HAK goes to her rescue, above which he even claims that SIU-HUNG is his girlfriend, making her feel very touched. There is no new development in the kidnapping case. Meanwhile, another murder case emerges, and the victim is CHI-BUN. WING-YIN walks to KIU-PAK’s home, seeing that KIU-PAK is reading the file of CHI-BUN. Right away, she gets very nervous. CHING-SUM meets up with TAK-KWONG, telling him to contact WING-YIN because he wants her to spy on KIU-PAK. KIU-PAK and SIU-TING go to the late CHI-BUN’s home to investigate. While there, they discover a locker-room bill from a bowling center……

KIU-PAK asks TAK-KWONG back to the police station for an interview in assistance of CHI-BUN’s case, but TAK-KWONG not only refuses but also insults KIU-PAK. TAK-KWONG walks out of the police station after being detained for two days, following which he sneaks into WING-YIN’s home, threatening her to help him take revenge. After CHEUNG HAK finishes the filming, he runs into LAU TSAU, who reveals what happened the other day. However, the two still have no clue as to what exactly happened. WING-YIN has dinner with CHING-SUM. After that, she frankly tells him that she knew his real identity, so CHING-SUM agrees to persuade TAK-KWONG. CHEUNG HAK restores the video that was deleted by the late LOK-YEE before her death, and through the video, he uncovers the secret. KIU-PAK finds out about LAU TSAU’s whereabouts, thinking that he is going to contact the third kidnapper. Meanwhile, CHEUNG HAK gives some money to LAU TSAU to help him flee……

Having exerted every effort to probe into the matter, KIU-PAK and the others discover that LAU TSAU’s fingerprints do not match what they found on LOK-YEE’s body. WAI-CHEONG claims that he is going to leave Hong Kong and lay low for bit in case the police look for him. On the other hand, CHEUNG HAK also decides to flee but he has no money. Eventually, he comes to realise that he can use the video clip on hand to make a deal with WING-YIN. KIU-PAK tells WING-YIN about LAU TSAU’s death, suspecting that his death was caused by the third kidnapper, which greatly startled WING-YIN. CHEUNG HAK meets up with WING-YIN to ask for $500,000, adding that he did not kill LOK-YEE. TAK-KWONG goes to have a word with WING-YIN, telling her to spy on KIU-PAK and find out what evidence the police have gained so far. Following a new clue, KIU-PAK and SIU-TING locate a telephone number……

Upon TSZ-YUE’s return to the magazine company, KA-WING asks her about what happened last night. TSZ-YUE replies that WING-YIN got so drunk that KIU-PAK escorted WING-YIN back to her room. Instantly, CHEUNG FEI asks whether KIU-PAK was in the same room with her. KIU-PAK and SIU-TING locate CHEUNG HAK’s landlady, but to no avail. TAK-KWONG becomes exasperated at the sudden death of WAI-CHEONG, and he immediately has his henchmen look for CHEUNG HAK. KIU-PAK asks WING-YIN and the others about CHI-BUN’s case. Due to the fact that WAI-CHEONG was one of TAK-KWONG’s henchmen, and TAK-KWONG himself is involved in the toxic paint case, KIU-PAK seeks to find out the relationship between them. During the meeting, WING-YIN suggests re-investigating the toxic paint case. When KA-WING is filming TAK-KWONG in secret, TSZ-YUE out of the blue shows up, but their existence is soon discovered by TAK-KWONG’s henchmen……

CHING-SUM worries that TAK-KWONG is going to reveal something to the police, so he calls WING-YIN to ask her about it. WING-YIN tells him to stop, and eventually both agree that they should leave Hong Kong. WING-YIN has accompanied KIU-PAK, and she does not stop looking after him even after KIU-PAK is discharged from the hospital upon his recovery. Seizing the opportunity when WING-YIN is cooking dinner, TSZ-YUE urges KIU-PAK to pursue WING-YIN. KA-WING asks TSZ-YUE out for a buffet, and both pay much attention to their appearance in hopes of showing up in their best for their first date. All of a sudden, WING-YIN receives a phone call from her investor, telling her that he will soon withdraw the funds. WING-YIN tells KA-WING and TSZ-YUE about this, and the two feel worried. WING-YIN is concerned that her immigration plan will end up in failure if she invests all her money on the magazine……

KA-WING tells his co-workers to put their current report on hold and instructs them to pitch another story, causing resentment among them. WING-YIN encourages KA-WING, adding that she is leaving the company by the end of the month. She not only hands the magazine company over to him, but also urges him to cherish TSZ-YUE. Meanwhile, TSZ-YUE returns to the office after learning from CHEUNG FEI that KA-WING wants to pursue her. Before she wants to seize the chance to ask KA-WING about his intention, KA-WING’s phone suddenly rings, and he immediately leaves without leaving a word after picking up the phone. Tailing after CHING-SUM, KA-WING discovers that both WING-YIN and CHING-SUM are on the top of the mountain. KA-WING tells WING-YIN about this, but WING-YIN still pretends to be calm. Therefore, KA-WING decides to investigate WING-YIN. He first goes to visit YIU-KUEN in jail, and learns a lot of things about WING-YIN from him……

KA-WING asks WING-YIN why she has been lying to him. Knowing that she can no longer conceal the truth from him, WING-YIN frankly reveals the whole thing to him. Though WING-YIN promises KA-WING that she will not receive any money from anyone anymore, KA-WING keeps crying and cannot hear a thing she said. TSZ-YUE learns that something happened at the office, only to find out that it’s KA-WING who had an accident. She cannot help feeling very sad. The police inform WING-YIN about KA-WING’s accident and invites her back to the police station for a statement, during which a police officer requests WING-YIN to explain why she had an argument with KA-WING. In response to KIU-PAK’s enquiry, the police officer tells him that KA-WING allegedly took bribes. While TSZ-YUE is in a state of disbelief, WING-YIN insists that it was KA-WING who admitted it to her in person……

A doctor exams WING-YIN and confirms that her situation has become stable. While WING-YIN keeps blaming herself for KA-WING’s accident, KIU-PAK tries to comfort her that none of it was her fault as she just urged him to turn himself in. At midnight, WING-YIN has a nightmare; whereas KIU-PAK cannot help feeling puzzled after hearing her talk in her sleep. TSZ-YUE and CHEUNG FEI help tidy up KA-WING’s personal belongings, during which TSZ-YUE, who still cannot accept the fact that KA-WING took bribes, start wondering how come WING-YIN can believe the allegation without any doubts. At that moment, MA-LI suddenly arrives at the magazine company. Noticing that MA-LI hides a camera in her purse, TSZ-YUE scolds her for having no sense of shame. TSZ-YUE later discovers the spare key of WING-YIN’s home among KA-WING’s clothes, so she instantly informs KIU-PAK about her discovery……

KIU-PAK goes to WING-YIN’s home to have dinner. When WING-YIN is cooking, she receives a phone call from CHING-SUM. Not wanting to let KIU-PAK find out about this, she makes an excuse and steps outside. CHING-SUM tells her that they should not meet each other anymore to avoid suspicion. At the same time, they both throw away their phones that were used exclusively for making contact. WING-YIN is about to leave Hong Kong, so she introduces the journalists to their new boss. Yet, TSZ-YUE appears to be very unhappy. Knowing that WING-YIN has trouble sleeping, KIU-PAK tries to use hypnotherapy on her. Later, he learns that the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) starts investigating CHING-SUM. However, he cannot find any relevant clues, which leaves him no other choice but to re-visit LOK-YEE’s case. Surprisingly, he discovers that it was CHEUNG HAK who waited next to the garbage bin for the ransom money……

WING-YIN leads CHEUNG HAK and SIU-HUNG to a pier, but the boat has not arrived yet, making them very nervous. At that moment, KIU-PAK appears and wants to arrest CHEUNG HAK. Instantly, WING-YIN leaps forward to stop him from doing so. Knowing that she has nowhere to run, WING-YIN has no other choice but to reveal the whole thing. KIU-PAK tries to convince WING-YIN to turn herself in, adding that he will stand by her side no matter what. On their way to the police station, KIU-PAK out of the blue releases WING-YIN. Just as WING-YIN plans to abscond from Hong Kong, KIU-PAK suddenly shows up at her home, proposing marriage to her. Seeing that he is willing to give up everything just to be with her, WING-YIN feels deeply touched. TSZ-YUE pays a visit to CHEUNG FEI, only to find KIU-PAK and SIU-TING also there. CHEUNG FEI refuses to believe that CHEUNG HAK was the kidnapper……

TSZ-YUE goes to buy medicine for CHEUNG FEI, following which CHEUNG HAK suddenly shows up. TSZ-YUE then tries to convince him to turn himself in and stop doing the wrong things. Seeing CHEUNG FEI look very ill, TSZ-YUE intends to send her to the hospital, to which CHEUNG HAK agrees. When they carry CHEUNG FEI downstairs, KIU-PAK out of the blue appears and wants to arrest CHEUNG HAK. Later, KIU-PAK runs into WING-YIN and tells her that CHEUNG HAK has already confessed everything, but WING-YIN reiterates that she has nothing to do with the whole thing. KIU-PAK not only says he believes her, but also reveals that he has already released CHEUNG HAK, telling WING-YIN to relax. WING-YIN learns that CHING-SUM was arrested by the ICAC, so she immediately calls KIU-PAK, telling him that she is leaving in three days. KIU-PAK locates the photos that was sent by WAI-CHEONG before his death, which leads to a new clue……
