Under the Net

Yun Feng saves Bei Bei from embarrassment during orientation. An Qi is upset that Arina is attending her university. Yun Lin realises her university has no netball team and decides to set up one. Mei Ren grows more suspicious when Da Tian buys her a gift. She tails him and finds him in a hospital. Rumours about Yun Feng and Bei Bei spread. Yun denies them publicly, hurting Bei Bei’s feelings.

Yun Lin recruits netball players with Jia Ju’s help. Tracy and her friends join the team. An Qi and Bei Bei have a misunderstanding due to Yun Feng, leaving unresolved feelings. Bei Bei tries but fails to confide in her father Prof Zhong. An Qi goes to the dentist alone and is moved by Dr Han Bing’s kindness. Da Tian confronts his andropause by completing his bucket list, driving Mei Ren crazy.

An Qi learns that her half-sister Jia Qi is the university team coach. Jia Qi is estranged from the family after a fight with their father. Mei Ren discovers the docile Bei Bei is wealthy and tries to matchmake her with Yun Feng. Da Tian throws himself into acting. Arina keeps missing training. Unaware that her father has died, An Qi questions Arina’s eligibility as the prospective team captain.

Ya Ya joins the team but feels out of place among Tracy and her friends. She and Tracy are interested in the flirtatious Jia Ju, who hangs out with the team. An Qi narrowly escapes harm after being kidnapped by someone Han Bing offended. She feels bad about what she said when she learns Arina’s father died. Arina’s sisters want her to move back home. Arina feels helpless as her life falls apart.

Bei Bei reluctantly agrees when Yun Lin proposes a team-up with An Qi for a street netball match. An Qi forces Han Bing to repay her for ‘saving’ him to get closer to him. Yun Feng saves Bei Bei again and urges her to express her feelings. An Qi is rebuffed when she extends her condolences to Arina. Arina and her mother Nurin try to move on from her father’s death amid their tense relationship.

Mei Ren gets back at Yun Feng for wasting her matchmaking efforts. Prof Zhong reminisces about his first love when Bei Bei asks him for relationship advice. Yun Lin gets Arina to teach the team how to shoot. Nurin faces issues when she tries to rent the stall her husband used to run. An ecstatic Da Tian is invited to audition for a lead role in a film and believes it will be his big break.

Yun Feng becomes jealous and confused about his feelings for Bei Bei. Sparks fly when Mei Ren sets up a candlelit dinner for them. Tracy and friends train hard for the street netball match but fear being called onto the court. For Yun Lin’s sake, Bei Bei faces her fear and joins as one of the main players. Up against the mixed team that beat them twice, Yun Lin and An Qi become determined to win.

Yun Feng realises his feelings for Bei Bei and confesses to her. Ya Ya shows off her skills during the match. Yun Lin saves the ball and Bei Bei makes an amazing shot. Tracy takes An Qi’s spot when she is injured. The team turns the tide with Yun Lin’s perfect pass and Tracy’s winning shot. Da Tian fails the audition and is devastated. Yun Feng chances upon an old photo of Prof Zhong and Mei Ren.

Yun Feng and Bei Bei’s date is interrupted by Prof Zhong. Their relationship faces troubles as Bei Bei and Prof Zhong ignore each other. Yun Lin and An Qi’s friendship is put to the test as An Qi discovers Yun Lin’s friendship with Arina. An Qi turns to Han Bing for comfort. The pair grows closer. The kids prepare for Mei Ren’s birthday. Unexpectedly, Da Tian leaves a note and runs away from home.

Da Tian goes missing. Mei Ren spends her birthday alone. Bei Bei brings Yun Feng home and ends up upsetting Prof Zhong. Bei Bei and Yun Feng learn that Mei Ren and Prof Zhong were each other’s first love. Yun Lin doubts herself when her teammate gets scouted instead. Arina works to revive her father’s business with her mother. An Qi wakes up in a dishevelled state after a beach date with Han Bing.

Leaving a note, Mei Ren runs away from home and moves in with Prof Zhong. Jia Qi learns that An Qi stayed out the previous night. She falls out with her father again after searching for An Qi together. An Qi reconciles with Yun Lin but her relationship with Arina grows tense. Bei Bei learns how to be a shooter. Yun Lin cuts her hand while cooking. Jia Qi names Arina captain, upsetting An Qi.

An Qi resents Jia Qi for ignoring her feelings. Yun Lin trains the team for the upcoming inter-school match. An Qi questions Han Bing’s feelings for her after realising he threw away her gift. He responds coldly. A jealous Da Tian goes to Prof Zhong’s house to seek Mei Ren’s forgiveness. The couple reconciles and returns home. The gang comforts a heartbroken An Qi. Yun Lin’s cut did not heal.

Yun Lin tries to make training fun and help her team overcome their weaknesses. She starts having mood swings. A dejected An Qi doesn’t make the starting lineup. An Qi and Yun Lin’s teams face off in the inter-school match. Yun Lin’s team loses despite their best efforts. Her perseverance wins her a scout’s attention and a chance to audition for the national team. She faints enroute to the trial.

A devastated Yun Lin learns that she is diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Her loved one stand by her. Da Tian and Mei Ren feel bad for neglecting her health. Bei Bei and Yun Feng realise the importance of seizing the day. Han Bing run into An Qi and admits to missing her. They decide to give each other another chance. With familial support, Yun Lin tries hard to accept the reality of her condition.

Yun Lin accepts her condition. She quits her beloved netball and distances herself from her teammates but is clearly unhappy. An Qi and Bei Bei gather everyone to surprise Yun Lin and cheer her up. Touched, a resolute Yun Lin decides to pick up netball again. Bei Bei starts thinking about her future. On the day of Yun Feng’s singing competition, Bei Bei tells him she plans to leave the country.

Bei Bei plans to go abroad to find her dreams. A breakup with Yun Feng seems imminent. Arina and her mother revive her father’s business. Mei Ren decides to support Da Tian’s dream. Han Bing confesses to An Qi. Bei Bei teams up with An Qi in a final match. Yun Lin braves new challenges as she returns to the court, which has transcended netball and become a journey of love, family, and friendship.
