Saba Douglas-Hamilton and her husband Frank Pope along with their children move to the Samburu National Reserve in Kenya, where she is takes over the running of a safari camp. Things get off to a bad start after guests arrive earlier than expected and an elephant emergency sees everybody being pushed to their limits.

The family begin to settle into their new life running a safari camp and protecting elephants in northern Kenya's remote Samburu National Reserve. Saba attempts to rescue an injured crocodile.

The rainy season hits Samburu National Reserve and as a flash flood hits their camp, Saba attempts to protect the camp and the animals. An elephant and its calf manage to get themselves into trouble.

Saba and the elephant rescue team attempt to save the life of a recently orphaned calf. The baby elephant is flown to an elephant orphanage in Nairobi, but with a terror threat on the Kenya's East coast, the family's safari camp is also facing problems.

The camp reopens after the rainy season but Saba's worst nightmare is becoming a reality.

Saba is on a mission to find newborn lion cubs and Frank races to rescue a lioness.

Saba's guests are accidentally stranded at a remote airstrip in the scorching African sun.

Drought is beginning to make life difficult for both people and wildlife.

Monkeys are taking over the family's safari camp. Frank and David help a bull elephant.
