Peter Capaldi presents a documentary looking at artists who cut their teeth in Glasgow, and whose work is now attaining global recognition. Bellshill born Gerry Tayor is a designer who studied at the Glasgow School of Art, and who now works in Milan for the avant garde Memphis collective, founded by the great Italian designer Ettore Sottsass. Glaswegian hairdressing duo Irvine and Rita Rusk opened their first salon in Hamilton. Their innovative, at times gravity-defying hairstyles have made them among the most celebrated hairdressers in the world.
