Roger throws a party to celebrate his success as one of the country's leading assisted reproduction doctors. Yet, right there among the guests, there are people intent on ruining the celebration.

Roger’s character is questionable, and not just among his patients. While Stela sees her dream of becoming a mother come to an end, Glória—the doctor’s wife—discovers yet another betrayal.

Eugênia falls victim to Roger; she tells her husband, and they file a formal complaint. Unaware of the full story, Mira attempts to investigate the doctor but lacks evidence.

Stela attempts to take her own life. Eugênia doubts that her husband is the father of her baby. Glória discovers she has cancer. Mira still lacks evidence against Roger.

Maria José is yet another victim of Roger, who begins an affair with Carolina. Glória discovers the betrayal. Her daughter, Tamires, and Mira find an online community featuring accusations against the doctor.

The children go to Roger's party, troubled by the accusations against their father. Mira and Stela meet, and the journalist realizes that Stela was the one who made the allegations against the doctor.

Glória watches the disease progress, and Mira convinces Stela to testify. Daiane is another victim of Roger. Carolina leaves her husband.

With Mira's help, the Public Prosecutor's Office opens a police investigation, and Roger is summoned. The story makes the headlines. The doctor loses his children's support.

Roger's medical license is revoked, and his trial is scheduled. Carolina stands by the doctor.

The Public Prosecutor's Office questions Roger's family. Mira, with the help of Pedro Paulo, Navas, and the victims, locates Roger in Paraguay.
