Elvis' Women

Elvis's meteoric rise to fame in the 1950s is recounted by the women he was dating at the time, describing how they often competed for his affection; their stories recount a rags-to-riches scenario of a boy whose one true love was his mother, Gladys.

After two years of military service, Elvis begins a film career, with very measurable success. Elvis is in the military when he meets 14-year-old Priscilla Beaulieu. Eventually the two get married.

Elvis makes a comeback in the 1970s. He successfully returns to the stage. Privately, the signs point to a new beginning with the divorce from Priscilla. As before, however, his demons and a deep loneliness bother him.
